JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the directing, planning, development, implementation and administration of human resources for the Company. Oversees compensation, benefits, and employee relations programs. Responsible for department budgeting and employee development programs. Supports applicable regulations including ISO, Local, State, and/or Federal requirements.


DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
  • Prepares personnel forecast to project employment needs.
  • Writes directives advising department managers of Company Policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Develops and maintains human resources IT systems, that meet top management information needs.
  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Understands legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
  • Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding Human resources policies and practices.
  • Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with applicable safety regulations and instructions, as well as correcting unsafe work habits and practices and/or bringing to the attention of a supervisor any practice or condition that may be detrimental to the safety and health of the employees. 
  • Responsibility to cooperate in all safety or health-related programs and assist in solving safety and health problems.  Violations of safety directives and procedures will be handled in accordance with the established Company disciplinary process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

RELATED BUSINESS/TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:

  • Accuracy and detail orientation extremely important.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to work independently.
  • Solid organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Familiar with internet recruiting/job search functions.
  • MS Office high-level user.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 6-8 years Human Resources related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
