Oregon Health & Science University

Oregon Health & Science University (http://www.ohsu.edu) is a national leader in medical research and is in the top 2% of grant-receiving institutions nationwide. Researchers at OHSU and Doernbecher Children's Hospital have made significant advances in the application of genomics and proteomics technologies to the identification of practical diagnostic markers and promising therapeutic targets in order to develop improved treatments for adult and pediatric disease. Under the direction of Dr. Sri Nagalla, the Center for Biomarker Discovery was established in 2001. This center is dedicated to translational functional genomics and proteomics research. In 2002, Proteogenix entered into a sponsored research agreement with OHSU to perform research within the Pediatric Research Laboratory area of the Hatfield Research Center building. The Proteogenix laboratories are located adjacent to the Center for Biomarker Discovery.
