ProteoGenix names Durlin Hickok, M.D., MPH, Senior Vice President & Chief
Medical Officer
COSTA MESA, CA, October 15, 2007---ProteoGenix announced today that it has named
Durlin Hickok, M.D., MPH, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Hickok previously served as Senior Vice President at Adeza Biomedical and
part of a management team that successfully developed the fetal fibronectin test
for prediction of preterm birth. Dr. Hickok joined ProteoGenix following an
initial public offering and subsequent acquisition by Cytyc Corporation. Dr.
Hickok practiced clinical Maternal-Fetal Medicine for 18 years prior to joining
Adeza Biomedical. While in clinical practice, he served in a variety of
capacities including Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at
Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Hickok has more than
80 publications on topics including preterm delivery, preeclampsia and other
aspects of pregnancy care and testing. Dr. Hickok’s residency and fellowship
training were at the University of Washington, Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, where he also received a Masters Degree in Public Health through the
Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program.
