ProteoGenix Signs Research Agreement with Eli Lilly and Company to Study Proteomics in Children with Short Stature - November 23, 2004

Dr. Ron Rosenfeld, CEO of ProteoGenix, announced that five-year research agreement was signed between ProteoGenix, Inc. and Eli Lilly and Company. The agreement calls for scientists at ProteoGenix, lead by Dr. Srinivassa Nagalla, to evaluate novel proteins and peptides that may aid in the diagnosis and treatment of idiopathic short stature (ISS) in children. The term "idiopathic" means that the cause of the delayed growth is unknown.

ProteoGenix and Lilly hopeto discover new and unique proteins that may serve as a diagnostic markers to help identify which children have ISS, may also reveal the cause of short stature in these children, and help pediatricians in determining the best treatment.
