ProteoGenix provides at no cost IAI specimen collection kits which
contain a test order form, complete instructions and all specimen
containers/materials necessary for shipment of amniotic fluid specimens
to the ProteoGenix Clinical Laboratory for testing. Amniotic fluid is
required for the ProteoGenix Clinical Laboratory intraamniotic
infection molecular, chemistry and microbiology tests.

New ProteoGenix Clients
Given the acute nature of intraamniotic infection and the need for
rapid availability of diagnostic testing results, it's best to contact
ProteoGenix Client Services prior to sending your first specimen for
testing.
This initial contact allows ProteoGenix to understand how you
would like to receive your test results and to arrange for pickup and
shipment of specimens from your facility to the ProteoGenix Clinical
Laboratory. You can download a copy of the one-page client information
sheet by clicking on the button below.
ProteoGenix works individually with each client based on your
preferences and any existing specimen pickup/shipping procedures to
facilitate expedited specimen pickup, shipping and test resulting.
If you are healthcare professional and would like to order the tests
from the ProteoGenix Clinical Laboratory, please follow the instructions
below:
Complete the ProteoGenix Clinical Laboratory Test Requisition form.
When your specimens are ready for pick up, call ProteoGenix at 888-429-7935 or fax the completed form to 714-429-7853.
Specimens will be picked up at your facility and shipped to the
ProteoGenix Clinical Laboratory via expedited delivery utilizing
commercial delivery services (FedEx, UPS, etc.) based on your
preference.
For healthcare professionals within the following Southern California
geographic area: Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County and
San Diego County, a ProteoGenix contracted courier will typically pick
up specimens within two hours of your phone/fax request.
Specimens received at the ProteoGenix Clinical Laboratory in Costa
Mesa, California by 12:00 PM (Pacific Time) Monday through Friday, will
have results available by 5:00 PM (Pacific Time) that same day.
Specimens received after 12:00 PM (Pacific Time), will have results
available by 12:00 PM the following day. Specimens received after 12:00
PM on Friday will have results released by 12:00 PM the following
Monday.
In January 2010 ProteoGenix plans to expand operations to provide
broader availability and even more rapid turnaround time.
For more detailed information, please refer to the "Test Information
Summary" for each test that appears under the "Test Menu". Results for the
Amniotic Fluid 16S rDNA by Endpoint PCR, Amniotic Fluid Glucose, and Amniotic
Fluid Gram Stain Tests will be available same day and next day as
described above based on time of specimen receipt.
Results for Amniotic Fluid Aerobic and Anaerobic Bacterial culture and
Amniotic Fluid Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma culture tests will be available
within 72 hours from receipt of specimen.
